Check-In Camp Nurse

Our camp provides a vacation for adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Located at Camp Harkness in Waterford, CT, this summer camp provides fun activities by the shore on Long Island Sound.

The Check-In Camp Nurse at Camp Harkness is primarily responsible for assisting the Residential Camp Nurse with checking-in campers. In addition, the Check-In Camp Nurse is responsible for all aspects of nursing care, medications, and implementing agency policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants. Will provide first aid, medication administration, camper health assessment, and emergency care to campers. She/he will ensure compliance with all state and regulatory reporting requirements.

This camp program runs for six weeks (June 22, 2025 through August 2, 2025) with training days prior to camp starting. The Check-In Camp Nurse will work a scheduled shift on Sundays from 2pm to 6pm. This RN/ LPN must be detailed-oriented to ensure the accuracy of medications checked-in.
