Residential Camp Nurse

Our camp provides a vacation for adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. Located at Camp Harkness in Waterford, CT, this summer camp provides fun activities by the shore on Long Island Sound.

The Residential Camp Nurse at Camp Harkness is responsible for all aspects of nursing care, medications, and implementing agency policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants. Will provide first aid, medication administration, camper health assessment, and emergency care to campers. She/he will ensure compliance with all state and regulatory reporting requirements. Will present staff in-services relating to medications and nursing issues.

This camp program runs for six weeks (June 22, 2025 through August 2, 2025) with training days prior to camp starting. The Residential Camp Nurse will begin duty on Sundays at 1pm and end on Fridays at 1pm. There will be scheduled breaks every morning Monday through Thursday. Housing and three meals a day will be provided.
